I am so happy I have my classes on new hard drive...there are benefits to having classes stored. In a classroom setting it's a one shot deal. The lecture happened, its over whether you get it or not....I can get my professor to repeat his words and demonstrations over and over for ever...without driving him crazy...I think students can learn more from their lectures in this manner ....there is a positive side to everything ....getting the hard drive was the best move I could make. No freezing sputtering and frustration....some lectures I listen through a wireless headset as I do chores ....the very best..for many years to come...

NUMSS New Alumni Card

The New Alumni Card

We have started a new program of issuing an alumni card for the DPT (doctor of Physical Therapy) graduates of National University of Medical Sciences.

The card will be mailed to all NUMSS alumni within the next three months.

As a gesture of thanks towards Dr Farjoud Shokouhi, the first DPT graduate of NUMSS (Spain) in Iran, the first card NUMSS alumni card issued was for this distinguished NUMSS alumnus (and current DO student).

Dr Shokouhi last week performed a miracle in Iran by getting a new scope of practice approved by the Iranian government for the physiotherapy profession. Now physiotherapists are legally permitted to prescribe a limited number of medications, order x-rays, prescribe and dispense orthotics and prosthetics and do acupuncture.

Dr Shokouhi was also the one who recommended NUMSS to offer an alumni card to DPT graduates. He is relentless in helping physiotherapists in Iran since he was elected to represent the profession as a supreme member of the Iran Medical Council. 

 

 

A Revolution in the Profession of Physiotherapy in Iran

Physiotherapist, Dr Farjoud Shokouhi, DPT, a supreme member of the Medical Council of Iran and the first DPT graduate of National University of Medical Sciences (Spain) in Iran was successful in lobbying the Iranian government into accepting a new scope of practice for physiotherapists in Iran, a first in 50 years!

Physiotherapists in Iran are now legally permitted to prescribe a limited number of oral and external medications. They are also permitted now to refer for x-rays and other simple diagnostic imaging.

Dr Shokouhi, who is known as the father of DPT in Iran, has revolutionized the profession of physiotherapy in this country, first by bringing the DPT program in Iran, and now by lobbying the government into redefining the profession of physiotherapy.

We are so proud of our alumni. And we thank Dr Shokouhi for all he does for the profession.

Our university in Iran has over 369 physiotherapists as alumni of our DPT (doctor of Physical Therapy) program. We are now the number one provider of DPT education in Europe.

Dr Shokouhi with about 50 other Iranian physiotherapists have also enrolled in the DO (doctor of osteopathy) program of NUMSS (Spain) after graduating from our DPT program.

369 DPT Students in Iran!

As of today, April 05th, 2017, 369 physiotherapists in Iran have taken the DPT (doctor of Physical Therapy) program offered by our university in Spain.

We have introduced the DPT to Iran and currently are the main provider of DPT education there.

Physiotherapists in Iran are urged to enrol in our DPT program. With increased enrollment comes increased recognition of DPT in Iran.

There are more than 5000 physiotherapists in Iran. We are confident that when the majority of these professionals receive the DPT degree, the Ministry of Health in Iran would accept this degree and finally the profession in Iran would be permitted to use the title of doctor of physical therapy.

Special thanks goes to physiotherapist, Dr Farjoud Shokouhi, PT, MBA, DPT, one of the supreme members of the Medical Council of Iran, who is also our first DPT graduate in Iran. Dr Shokouhi was instrumental in expanding DPT in Iran. Without his support DPT could not have spread to every province of Iran.

Dr Shokouhi forever will be known as the father of DPT in Iran and history will remember him as the physiotherapist who brought DPT to Iran. 

Annual Income of Naprapaths in the USA

The average income of naprapaths in the states is $89,899 (about $120,496 Canadian dollars) in 2016. The average hourly rate is $43 ($57 Canadian).

The entry level salary of doctors of naprapathy is $68,190 ($91,398 Canadian dollars) per year. The DN senior level salary is $117,951 ($158,095 Canadian dollars). 

 

 

MBA/DN/PhD Triple Degree for Chiropractors

MBA in Healthcare, Doctor of Naprapathy & PhD in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation triple degree is one of the best postgraduate programs available online to chiropractors in the States, Canada, Australia & UK.

The triple degree can be completed in one year through online on-demand video lectures. Tuition for the entire triple degree program is $12,000 ($6000 per semester).

Doctor of Naprapathy & PhD in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation dual degree is one of the best postgraduate programs available online to physiotherapists in the states, Canada, Australia, UK, Spain, Italy, Germany and elsewhere.
