Happy World Osteopathy Day Everyone!
Today; June 22nd is the official World Osteopathy Day since it was established 3 years ago. This is the day Osteopathy was founded in 1874 by Dr Andrew Taylor Still.
Canadian manual osteopath, Dr Shawn Pourgol, MBA, DC, DO, PhD president of
the National University of Medical
Sciences (Spain) has founded this day in 2012 as a way to increase public awareness of
manual osteopathy. Prior to 2012 osteopathy did not have a day of its own.
In 2013 the Canada Post, as per our request published a
mailing stamp with the World Osteopathy Day logo.
To celebrate this date in 2015 we have offered over one
million Euros in free seminars to 5000 health professionals worldwide.
Manual osteopathy does wonders for chronic musculoskeletal
pain and is the number one choice of Canadians for chronic low back pain
treatment. And the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has chosen manual
osteopathy as one of the top 25 occupations in demand in Canada. In some
Canadian cities there is a waiting list of up to a year to see a manual
osteopath.
To make manual osteopathy available to people worldwide we
teach it in 45 countries. Our mission is to make manual osteopathy available to
everyone in all countries.
We wish you all a Happy World Osteopathy Day!

World Osteopathy Day (June 22nd) has been founded
in 2012 by manual osteopath, Dr Shawn Pourgol, MBA, DC, DO, PhD president of National University
of Medical Sciences (www.numss.com). The Canada
Post in 2013 has published a postal stamp with the World Osteopathy Day logo.
Manual osteopathy is the number one treatment of choice for
Canadians with chronic low back pain (survey done in 2012). It is a safe,
non-invasive & highly effective treatment system, especially for chronic
pain.
Manual osteopathy has been chosen as one of the top 25
occupations in demand (report published by the Canadian Imperial Bank of
Commerce in 2013). There is zero unemployment in this profession and currently
patients in some cities (such as London, Canada) wait up to a year to get an
appointment with a manual osteopath. There is a severe shortage of manual
osteopaths worldwide.
It is our goal and mission to make sure patients in every
corner of the world have access to manual osteopathic care. To achieve this we
offer 100% online manual osteopathic education (doctor of osteopathy, bachelor
of science in osteopathy, diploma in osteopathic manual practice) worldwide
with practical technique classes in 45 countries. Our campuses are located in
Madrid (Spain) and Toronto (Canada) and we do offer campus based programs as
well. We are the largest provider of European style osteopathic education in
the world. Over half of the manual osteopaths in Canada are our graduates. And
in some countries such as Tanzania and Brunei 100% of manual osteopaths are our
graduates.
To receive information on how to become a manual osteopath
please email us at admissions@numss.com.
Thank you.

Essay Homework
NUMSS Students:
It appears that some students did not see the essay homework given by professors at the end of the course notes. We apologize for this. As we should have them easier to locate.
We are now compiling a list of all the essay topics and will email it with the welcome package to new NUMSS students, and also will add it separately to NUMSS video server. And a copy will be emailed to all NUMSS current students as well.
Please do not worry so much about them. Concentrate on your final term exams which is coming shortly, and then you can work on the essays. They are short, less than a page each and there are just 12 per course.
