The course shows 6 osteopathic techniques for the respiratory system. We teach all these techniques to our students at National University of Medical Sciences (USA). However it is good to review them again.

In US, we are not doctors, osteopaths or osteopathic physicians and we do not provide osteopathic medical care. We provide osteopathic manual practice which is a form of hands-on manual therapy.

No More Scholarships for NAO Alumni

For the past eight years the National University of Medical Sciences (Spain) had offered guaranteed scholarships to all National Academy of Osteopathy (Canada) graduates to study at NUMSS (Spain).

Since 2016 NUMSS (Spain) had terminated all its scholarships, except one. This scholarship was the last remaining scholarship, and effective immediately this scholarship is also terminated. As of today NUMSS (Spain) will not offer any scholarships to NAO alumni.

This ends the scholarship program of NUMSS (Spain). As of today no scholarships will be offered to anyone.

NUMSS Graduation Day Ceremonies

Effective immediately the graduation day ceremonies of National University of Medical sciences (USA) and National University of Medical Sciences (Spain) will be held in Panama, twice per year in February and August, a day after the end of the osteopathy practical technique classes.

NUMSS (Spain) DPT Graduate Chosen to Lead Fight Against COVID-19

It was just announced by the Iranian government that physiotherapist, Dr Hamid Reza Ashrafi, a doctor of physical therapy (DPT) graduate of National University of Medical Sciences (Spain) has been chosen as one of the managing board members of the committee to fight Coronavirus infection in Iran.
This is such an honour for the physiotherapy profession in Iran. Congratulations Dr Ashrafi. We are proud of you.
