Sciences teaching osteopathic Counterstrain techniques. Strain/Counterstrain techniques are
osteopathic techniques developed by Dr Lawrence Jones, DO who passed away in
1996. These are indirect passive techniques, great for soft tissue injuries.

NUMSS Students Can Join IBCAT
Athletic Therapy Program of NUMSS is Accredited by IBCAT
The Master of Science in Athletic Therapy degree program of
National University of Medical Sciences is accredited by the International
Board of Certified Athletic Therapists (www.ibcat.org).
Upon graduation, students can apply to write the board exams of IBCAT and upon
successful passing of the boards they become Certified Athletic Therapists
(CAT).
NUMSS athletic therapy graduates can work as athletic therapist (or open
a clinic) in all countries; including Canada, USA, Australia, Spain, Italy,
France, Germany & UK.
In some countries such as Canada, a number of
insurers cover athletic therapy treatments provided by IBCAT Certified Athletic
Therapist members.
