The first ever osteopathy fee schedule and guideline has been published in Canada by the College of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners of Ontario (www.compontario.com).

This recommended osteopathy fee guideline is applicable only to osteopaths practicing in the Province of Ontario (Canada).

Dr Pourgol Teaching Osteopathic Counterstrain Techniques

Dr Shahin Pourgol, president and one of the professors of the  National University of Medical Sciences teaching osteopathic Counterstrain techniques.  Strain/Counterstrain techniques are osteopathic techniques developed by Dr Lawrence Jones, DO who passed away in 1996. These are indirect passive techniques, great for soft tissue injuries.

National University of Medical Sciences just accepted application of a student for the Doctor of Osteopathy program from the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa. This is the first time we have a student from Congo.

NUMSS Students Can Join IBCAT

Athletic Therapy Program of NUMSS is Accredited by IBCAT

The Master of Science in Athletic Therapy degree program of National University of Medical Sciences is accredited by the International Board of Certified Athletic Therapists (www.ibcat.org).

Upon graduation, students can apply to write the board exams of IBCAT and upon successful passing of the boards they become Certified Athletic Therapists (CAT).

NUMSS athletic therapy graduates can work as athletic therapist (or open a clinic) in all countries; including Canada, USA, Australia, Spain, Italy, France, Germany & UK.

In some countries such as Canada, a number of insurers cover athletic therapy treatments provided by IBCAT Certified Athletic Therapist members.
