The Alarm Clock Method of Checking Your Work Productivity

Osteopathy Business Tip # 73 (from Osteopathy Business Tips Facebook page www.fb.com/richosteopath.

At work, you must work. However many spend their working hours checking emails, surfing the net and chatting with co-workers. Osteopaths should either be treating patients or be involved in activities that generate income (such as marketing) when at work. Communication with friends, etc should be done outside working hours. This focused attention on activities that generate income is one way of making you successful & wealthy while also giving you a lot of free time to spend as you wish.

So are you really working when you are at work? A simple method of checking this is to use an electronic alarm clock. Set the alarm for three random times during your working hours. For example, 11:35AM, 1:40PM, and 3:15 PM. Once the alarm rings, stop and check to see what you are doing. Is it an activity that generates income (treating patients, marketing, etc) or is it something that keeps you busy while useless financially? (Chatting on Facebook for example).
