OSTEOPATHY IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

National University of Medical Sciences just accepted application of a student for the Doctor of Osteopathy program from the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa. This is the first time we have a student from Congo.

NUMSS Students Can Join IBCAT

Athletic Therapy Program of NUMSS is Accredited by IBCAT

The Master of Science in Athletic Therapy degree program of National University of Medical Sciences is accredited by the International Board of Certified Athletic Therapists (www.ibcat.org).

Upon graduation, students can apply to write the board exams of IBCAT and upon successful passing of the boards they become Certified Athletic Therapists (CAT).

NUMSS athletic therapy graduates can work as athletic therapist (or open a clinic) in all countries; including Canada, USA, Australia, Spain, Italy, France, Germany & UK.

In some countries such as Canada, a number of insurers cover athletic therapy treatments provided by IBCAT Certified Athletic Therapist members.

 

JORGE ARANDA: National University of Medical Sciences Professor of Osteopathic Techniques

Professor Aranda has a bachelor of science in Osteopathic Medicine as well as a master of science in Pediatric osteopathy. He also sits on the board of Osteopathy Registrar of Spain.

Currently at NUMSS;  professor Aranda teaches visceral manipulation, osteopathy in the cranial field (cranial osteopathy), lymphatic drainage, and counterstrain techniques. In the future he will cover more techniques. His lectures include assessments, treatments, indications and counterindications of each technique.

NUMSS just accepted admission applications of two students today from Azerbaijan and the Island of Macau (China) for the Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) program.
